Club Juthour
Saturday and Sunday, 10 am – 4 pm Saturday · Im Liefeld 51 · Sunday · Worringer Straße 63
Learning, faith and community
We accompany children and young people on their educational path and offer them a place where they can learn, discover their abilities and experience community.
At the centre are the Arabic language and culture, and Islamic values. Around them grows a year of sport, outings, group meetings and shared celebrations.
Whoever comes to us does not only come to lessons. They come into a community.
Our values
One fee, a year full of activities: Arabic language, martial arts, group meetings and outings — in groups formed by age and by level.
Our work is guided by Islamic values: mercy, honesty, helpfulness, respect and responsibility. We want to support children and young people in growing up confident and considerate of others — here in Düsseldorf, in this society, with this faith.
Arabic language and culture
The children learn the Arabic language and become familiar with its culture — script and language step by step, along with songs, stories and customs. For many families it is the language of the grandparents: keeping it alive holds something together.
Martial arts, sport and workshops
Martial arts and self-defence in regular workshops — posture, technique, stamina, and above all fairness. Whoever has learned to defend themselves needs to do so less often. Alongside this there are games and tournaments, where taking part matters more than winning.
Group meetings and youth work
Here things grow together that would otherwise run side by side. Group meetings, projects and workshops — making and crafting for the younger ones, conversation and their own undertakings for the older. The older ones gradually take on tasks for the younger ones and grow through it.
Outings and holiday activities
Museum visits, outings into the city and into the countryside, holiday programmes and shared celebrations. Nothing binds a group together like a day they are still talking about weeks later.
€25 a month
per child · the Club with everything included
With Education and Participation: €15
Exactly the amount the authority covers — nothing is left for the family to pay. If you have no entitlement and still cannot manage the full fee, talk to us. A word is enough.
We work in groups, not classes: put together by age and by level, so that each group moves at its own pace — the younger ones among themselves, and the older ones able to take on responsibility.
From our life together
Celebrations, outings and group meetings — a few pictures from our year.
